Moving categories to nav bar

You can do create a page template and use custom quert to show category on that page.

And after I do that do I still need to have the category widget in the right sidebar?

If you want to call a category widget then I think you have to use dynamic_sidebar() function.
Before using this function you have to register a sidebar and it’s ID should be pass in dynamic_sidebar(ID);

Hi Hilary – you should be able to put category items in the menu without doing any coding – just set up a custom menu and add category items –
