Automatic redirection not working

The feature “Automatically add a 301 redirection when a post’s URL changes” is not working for me.
I have changed post’s URL an I see Modified Posts – 176 but Redirections – 0.
And I get a lot of 404s.
Is it a setting that I’m missing or something that I should do?Thanks.
