  • Hmm,
It looks like your server isn’t allowing images to be resized. The images don’t even have thumbnails generated. This is an internal error. Which host are you with?

I would contact your host, the issue is your server isn’t allowing images to be resized.
My guess is this needs to be enabled: “php_gd extension” in your php_ini file.

    Hi, Kadence Themes

I insist my issue must be caused by your theme.

I test other themes, all products and categories shows ok.

I look the directories structure of your theme, and I see the folder “woocommerce” is the same as the folder “templates” in woocommerce plugin, but looks an older version.

I tried this: I saved a copy of the folder “wocommerce” of your theme structure in my PC, and I replaced this folder with the folder “templates” of woocommerce’s plugin that I have (v2.0.17)

Now you can see the products and categories have appeared:

    https://www.slonya.es/?post_type=product
    https://www.slonya.es/?product_cat=anillos-de-alambre

The appearance of this pages is bad, but the products have appeared at least.

I wish you can me offer a better solution for my issue that my “bothed job”. I love your theme and I’m very interested in continue working with this.

    Thanks in advance

Hey miansimon, I should explain and put it this way. Your server doesn’t allow for resizing. (not normal). As you can see your the first I’ve encountered with this issue. And there are a lot of people that use this theme. So while other themes will work on your server this theme doesn’t. It’s not an issue of using an older version of woocommerce. It’s about things I’ve purposely changed to make it function the way I designed.

This theme uses some advanced techniques to make it mobile friendly and maintain fast photo loading times in the browser. The photos are all responsive and change sizes based on screen size. For this theme to work for you, you need to update your php settings.

You will see that once you changed the files it shows your images but it links to the full image. Not at a smaller size thats better for loading times.

    Hope the helps explain things.

    Hi, Kandence Themes.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Today’s Chapter:

I put all the files in his original place.

I have no notice from support of 1and1 yet.

I created a script for see the info of my database. You can see here:

    https://www.slonya.es/info.php

    In the GD options shows:

    GD Support enabled
    GD Version bundled (2.1.0 compatible)
    FreeType Support enabled
    FreeType Linkage with freetype
    FreeType Version 2.4.2
    GIF Read Support enabled
    GIF Create Support enabled
    JPEG Support enabled
    libJPEG Version 6b
    PNG Support enabled
    libPNG Version 1.2.44
    WBMP Support enabled
    XBM Support enabled

Then, the Gd libraries seems actives.

I updated to the new version of Woocommerce released today (v.2.0.18)

    Every remains the same.

    Any idea??

    Thanks in advance

I don’t know enough about it. Like i said, I guessed at php_gd. I read some forums of people who had that issue with not generating thumbnails in wordpress.

Send me your login info or a temp login and I can try a few things.

else I think you are going to want to wait till 1 and 1 writes you back.

    Hi, Ben.

I mail you the information that you want.

    Thanks

Did some testing. Got the resizing to work but it looks like your server doesn’t allow resizing with files larger than 30kb.

Thats not good. I would be talking to your host to see what they can do about it. else resize your images way way down before you upload.

    Hi, Ben.

I’m reading some forums about 1and1 and resizing images.

    https://draxus.org/weblog/2011/04/04/problemas-con-el-redimensionado-de-imagenes-en-wordpress/

    https://www.mediavida.com/foro/dev/problema-redimensionando-imagenes-php-399168

Really, my host imposes several memory limitations to the users. Then, I’m find this solution:

Install the plugin “ImageMagick Engine”: This replaces PHP in the process of resizing images.

This solves a part of the problem. (Only shop page not shows correctly, where shows all the products together).

Then, I have to upload images in 72ppp instad of 300ppp. and I hope all the problems dissapear.

    1and1=sucks

    Remember it for other users.

Thank you for your help and patience!!
