• I have no idea How this happened but I just posted an entry and it ended up in my center column!?! I hadn’t changed anything or done anything with my theme or templates so how did this happen? When I click on the category the post itself shows up fine on it’s own but the front page is messed up! Can anyone help?

I’ve had the worst time with this! Is it the 3 column theme, are they trouble? Maybe I should switch? Any help muchly appreciated!!

  • Most 3 column themes are fine. The one you’re using is relatively new, however.
Have you tried deleting and re-posting to see what happens?

Oh wow this is so weird. I just deleted it and then posted it again, same thing. Then I deleted it and posted a “test” post – the test post came through perfectly! So then I copy/pasted the post into Word first thinking maybe there’s a weird thing going on with my type or something, and it’s back to being stuck in the center column. Could it be something going on in my copy/pasting? I had it in TextEdit and also Word, same thing both times. I guess I can just manually type it in and that should work since the test did? What would make copy/pasting it do that? I’ve done it before fine…? Strange!!

I wouldn’t recommend using Word for typing text or copy and pasting from word, use something like notepad because there aren’t any special characters that gag the browser and no funny formatting.

Thanks, it was originally opened in TextEdit which is basically wordpad for Macs so it was plain text, I simply pasted it into Word to see if that made a difference. However, now that I think about it, it was from an article I wrote in 1998 and was originally in AOL or something I am sure. I wondered if there’s something funky hidden in there.

Nonetheless after reading this reply, I deleted it and then retyped it all right into the WP editor, and it looked FINE in the preview (just as always – is that weird or what, fine in the preview but not when published?) and sure enough it STILL ended up in the center column. What in the world could be going on? This is very frustrating. Sigh.

Why don’t you post this issue at their website (theme author’s) as a comment? That’s what they recommend.
