Slider not sliding

  • I’m having trouble with my slider not sliding.
    Yesterday it was working fine, and the only thing I have done differently is adding code to the website/wp-admin/customize.php to remove the pen icon & navigator size

    I deleted the slider and all the images hoping it would be a simple and easy fix. Did not work.
    The only image shown is the first image in the slider order.
    All images i wish to be in the slider have been added correctly.

  • Need a link to see what you’ve done. But from your description, it looks like you’ve tackled it incorrectly. You should avoid hacking the core files as they may change with the next update (& there’s one planned this week).

    I’m more skilled in CSS than php so I tend to look for a CSS solution. @acub has taught me that the php route enables you to achieve more complex solutions – I wrote my first filter last week!

    So I’d suggest you undo what you did with customize.php, look in the Snippets for CSS or php filter/actions to resolve your problem, and keep an eye out for 3.0.14 – may be worth waiting before you change anything in case @nikeo has made any major changes which happens occasionally.

    Slider problems usually caused by the size of the Image. Recommended size is 1170x500px.
