Plugin is producing illegal string offset error

Hello,
I have been having intermittent timeout issues with my site and yesterday my site was completely inaccessible on smartphones (iOS/Android). I called my hosting provider (Bluehost) and he looked at my error logs and saw that this plugin had been returning errors every single day since I installed it (end of August 2013)
Sure enough I just uninstalled the plugin and was able to load my site on iOS quick and painless. Site is also working smoothly on desktop browsers.
Are you aware of this error? Has anyone else encountered it. I’m not a programmer or coder so I don’t know what this means
