Verification Emails

  • Hi,

    I’m a relatively new user to WordPress and have started using your plugin – which is working really well for me!

    Wondered if you could help though with the verification emails – the verification email that is sent to the user looking for their download takes ages to arrive, some up to 45 mins and we are not getting the confirmation emails through to us to advise us when someone has downloaded our document.

    Is this something we have done wrong or is there a way to fix it?

    Hi Jo,

    You have done nothing wrong. It’s the email service some where along the way that is holding it up. The plugin, and any plugin for that matter, sends the emails immediately.

    I have found that if I send an email to my gmail account from my server there is always a delay that ranges from 5 minutes to a day and a half.
    If I send it to my pacbell account it’s always quick, a minute or two.

    You would need to investigate the route the email takes starting with your hosting service.
