Gold Cart Plugin vs Developer

    Hi… just used wp e-commerce for the first time and now looking at more options, ie, grid view with the plugin, what is the difference between the gold and developers versions? i see the developers have 3x API, but what are these used for?

    Secondly, this may be answered by the above question, but if i have 2 or 3 shops and want to use grid view, do i only have to buy the plugin once or 3 times, thanks in advance… ??

  • If you have 2 or 3 shops you have to buy the gold cart plugin for each shop. I don’t think the developer’s version is any different to buying 3 single gold cart plugins and seems rather overpriced to me.
    There are other ways of adding a grid view (although not the full functionality of gold cart) to your site, have a look at https://a3rev.com/

    thanks again for your reply, i have got the plugin you suggested above, but to get full functionality you have to purchase that too, i would just assume the gold cart plugin would work much better tho and maybe have more options?

    Looking around, the developers licence includes 3 API keys, which i think you have to activate to use, ie, i would assume this would mean you can use this on 3 websites, can anyone confirm this before i look for a cheaper alternative?

    Yes the Gold Cart has more options, it will add extra product images to a single product page, extra payment gateways and live product search although I’ve never used that last one.

    Yes you can use the developer’s version on 3 sites, however since you get 1 support token with each single version of the gold cart I can’t see the point of the extra $56.
