    Hi,

Have installed the plugin for https://www.wellnesselect.nl/ but it does not work. It says that it cannot connect with bol.com on the plugin page (both api’s are included) and when I try to include it on a page I get

Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘RuntimeException’ with message ‘SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed’ in /srv/interact/www/www.wellnesselect.nl/wp-content/plugins/bolcom-partnerprogramma-wordpress-plugin/vendor/kriswallsmith/buzz/lib/Buzz/Client/Curl.php:127 Stack trace: #0 /srv/interact/www/www.wellnesselect.nl/wp-content/plugins/bolcom-partnerprogramma-wordpress-plugin/vendor/kriswallsmith/buzz/lib/Buzz/Browser.php(88): Buzz\Client\Curl->send(Object(Buzz\Message\Request), Object(Buzz\Message\Response)) #1 /srv/interact/www/www.wellnesselect.nl/wp-content/plugins/bolcom-partnerprogramma-wordpress-plugin/vendor/kriswallsmith/buzz/lib/Buzz/Browser.php(67): Buzz\Browser->send(Object(Buzz\Message\Request)) #2 /srv/interact/www/www.wellnesselect.nl/wp-content/plugins/bolcom-partnerprogramma-wordpress-plugin/vendor/kriswallsmith/buzz/lib/Buzz/Browser.php(25): Buzz\Browser->call(‘https://openapi…’, ‘GET’, Array) #3 / in /srv/interact/www/www.wellnesselect.nl/wp-content/plugins/bolcom-partnerprogramma-wordpress-plugin/vendor/kriswallsmith/buzz/lib/Buzz/Client/Curl.php on line 127

    hope you can help!

    thanks!

    Hi Yvonne,

‘It says that it cannot connect with bol.com on the plugin page (both api’s are included)’

Do you get a specific error message on the plugin configuration page? If yes please provide this one.

‘when I try to include it on a page I get’
What do you mean with when I try to include it on a page? What were you trying to include and what steps did you perform? On which page or moment exactly did you get this error message?

If your keys are not set correctly and connection with the API fails content placed on a page will not be available.

It says this on the plugin page

    Bol.com Open API connectie test
Fout: Er kan geen verbinding worden gemaakt met Bol.com

when I am on a page I click on the bol.com icon and choose Product Link. I cannot choose category and get the above fatal error when I say find.

    Hi Yvonne,

I checked your problem and it is not caused by the plugin but due to your web server settings.

To retrieve information from the Bol.com API a secure https connection is used. Retrieving information via the secured https connection causes a problem on your server. When you correct this the plugin should work.

any idea how to solve this? what question should I ask my provider?

    thanks!

Probably the CA certificates are out of date.

A “CA” is shorthand for a “certificate authority,” a third-party group responsible for handling secure connections around the web. They establish digital “certificates,” which are a way of ensuring that there are valid connections between two machines (like your computer and https://openapi.bol.com). Without a certificate, the security risk between two machines is greater.

When you receive this error, it likely means that your CA is out-of-date and needs to be updated. Generally, updating your OS will also update your CA and solve the problem. (https://help.github.com/articles/error-ssl-certificate-problem-verify-that-the-ca-cert-is-ok)

Your provider should check the settings of the certificate authority. More information can be found here: https://curl.haxx.se/docs/sslcerts.html
