Limit related post on…

Sorry for my english,

i mean:

– i have <?php wp_related_posts()?> for single post and i set the limit (12) of post on dashboard of plugin;

– now i wanted to insert <?php wp_related_posts()?> in home page too, but with different limit (3) of post.

Is it possible modify the <?php wp_related_posts()?> ?

But I am sorry to say that this is currently impossible. You can set a lower number of your related posts so that it is the same on your home page as well as inside your blog posts, but they cannot be two different set of numbers. Sorry & I hope you understand.

Hey, hm, well, yes, there is that other option. If you install our other related posts plugin called ‘Related Posts by Zemanta’ (which is basically identical to the one you are already using), then this option is possible, yes.

You can have one plugin to show related posts inside the blog posts and the other one to show only a couple on the home page (with the correctly inserted shortcode).

Here’s the link to that other plugin:

Please be careful which shortcode you are using, since those two plugins are using two different ones. And make sure to un-tick that box next to “Auto Insert Related Posts” box, before copy&pasting its shortcode to the right file.

Only a little bit, with Related post by Zemanda plugin, the thumbnail don’t show with internet explorer but with Chrome no problem.
