  • I’d try manually updating. Grab the latest WordPress, download and unzip. Then use SFTP, SSH, or remote in to your server. Upload all the new WordPress files with the exception of wp-config.php and the wp-content folder – don’t overwrite these!

    Then login to your site as normal and you have just successfully updated your WordPress site manually.

    That’s a bit excessive for a plugin?
