Tweet popup prepopulating wrong page text from homepage

When I click the tweet button on my website on the homepage, instead of pulling text from the content of the homepage, the tweet feature is taking the text from a random page I have. I’m using the shortcode to display the sharing buttons in a widget because of the theme I’m using, so that might be why, but it doesn’t make sense when it works on every other page with the same widget.
