• I cannot override the generic setting and create custom background pages. I’ve followed instructions and left it “deactivated” then in the page setting went to the bottom and selected the folder that has the image, and still nothing comes up but a plain black color. I’ve downloaded the latest plugin, (1.2.2)
Not sure what to do, please help!

    Hello,

Do you have an URL where this can be seen (ie., where it is supposed to have a background, but none appears)?

I think I am having a similar issue. I have a default background on all pages. However, on the homepage. I want another background only on the main page. However, when I change the settings on the page and update the changes do not take place. In fact they do not even store on the page reload.

To clarify. If I have the page option to override settings (as Administrator) and I change the dropdowns and click update. When the edit page refreshes everything is back to default settings. Therefore, I cannot change the settings on a per page basis.

I have changed themes too just in case it was a theme conflict.

I recently updated wordpress to 3.7 and I’m not sure but it appears after that, the same background pics I only had for the home page are now in all pages. I have done nothing else to home page or touch any other settings on the “background manager” plugin.
Is this because of the upgrade to wordpress 3.7?

I have since deactivated the plugin.

    Any ideas?

I have not updated to 3.7 yet. Thought about trying it to see if it fixed it. However, sounds like that would not be a good idea.

    Hi,

There are several different problems described here, and would suggest opening a separate thread for the problem you’re experiencing so it’s easier to address each one of them.

As a note, the Background Manager demo at https://demo.myatus.com/bgmwp/ is using WordPress 3.7. Overrides do work as expected, for example: https://demo.myatus.com/bgmwp/category/cakes/ or https://demo.myatus.com/bgmwp/simple-override/
