Plugins don't seem to work properly (in widgets)

  • I have just built my site with a Genesis theme, but some plugins just don’t seem to work:

    Jetpack: says site_inaccessible
    Simple sitemap: works when the shortcode is implemented in the page text, but not when implemented in the footer-widget, then it just displays the shortcode
    Updraft Plus backup: when clicking on backup now, it says “A backup run has been scheduled”, but I don’t receive any files in my mail or in my dropbox (tried both settings).
    Adsense explosion: doesn’t show ads in the sidebar, or anywhere.

    If it was just one plugin, I would suspect the problem would be with the plugin, but now I suspect there’s something wrong with my settings of the site.
