My site has gone to hell. =( I’m running into so many issues lately and this is the newest one that just barely started happening today.
I haven’t done anything new. I haven’t gotten any new plugins. I don’t know what is going on!!!

Now when I try to update a post for an edit, I get this “No Date Received” page. It happens every single time. It’s been happening all day long. I don’t know anything about coding. I haven’t messed with any coding. My friend paid for my sites template and domain. I just add content.

    Please help?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thank you for answering. I have tried deactivating all plugins. I was actually doing that earlier this morning trying to resolve another issue of mine.
Site’s been messing up a lot on me in the past couple of weeks. =(

Concerning this: “Or reset your plugins folder via FTP or the file manager provided in your host’s control panel.”

My host is Godaddy but like I said, my friend paid for the hosting and the template. I just run the site. Do I need to get the Godaddy account info from him to do this stuff?

    what about switching your theme?

Have you spoken to your hosts about this? GD are somewhat notorious for overloading their servers.

ohhh So it might be a GoDaddy issue then? I was thinking that was a possibility but people have told me it was a good host.

I did also switch my theme yes. I think something is broken in my theme because it doesn’t let me search for media images (and hasn’t since I first started using it). Comes up as no result. That’s another friggin issue.

This really sucks. I just want to share gaming stuff and I have no idea how any of this works.

I’ve asked my friend if he’ll give me the godaddy account information. Until he gets back to me I can’t even attempt the FTP fix.

    Thanks again.

I am having the same issues!! So frustrating. When I try to update a previous post or create a new one I get the following error message: No Data Received ERROR CODE: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE.

I’ve researched multiple support forums and no one seems to know who’s accountable. Is it WordPress, the browser(Chrome in my case) or the server (Godaddy in my case).

    What’s the solution?

I’m also having this issue. I have Genesis theme. No new plugins. Haven’t switched themes. Problem occurs in chrome, Internet Explorer and android. I do have Go Daddy.

Please post your issues in GoDaddy forums so they know it’s a big deal!

I’m fairly new to this. My site is hosted by whom? Go Daddy or WordPress? Go Daddy says they have no record of them hosting my site.

I just found on the Go Daddy forums that if you deactivate your WP super cache plugin, it solves the problem. I did it and it works. I wasted Hours on this today for this simple solution.

What’s your site URL? Is your site hosted on WordPress.COM? That’s the only place WordPress hosts sites – who do you pay for hosting?

EDIT – cross-posted with you; hope that turns out to solve this problem for many people!

Thank you WPyogi and everybody else. My gosh this is at least a small relief that I’m not the only one. I’ve seriously been going nuts.

I already tried deactivating plugins multiple times today. That did not work for me.

    WPyogi-
It worked for a total of 5 minutes. Now I’m back to square one. I believe Go Daddy hosts my blog as I received a year’s free hosting from them through a blog set-up service. I assumed it was them not WordPress but they claim I’m not in their system.

    What is your site URL?
