“comment form is closed” appears all the time

  • I have version 1.5. The following appears with every post in spite of that fact that I have the settings configured to thhe contrary:

    “Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time”

    Under post, discussion is set to allow comments.

    Under options, in discussion options, I have the following options selected: Allow people to post comments on the article; E-mail me whenever:Anyone posts a comment and a comment is held for moderation; Before a comment appears: An administrator must approve the comment; Comment author must fill out name and e-mail; Hold a comment in the queue if it contains more than 2 links

    Is there anything I should check to troubleshout this problem?
