• Usually when I migrate a site from one host to another I always completely remove any cache plugins and re-install after.

I migrated a site with WP Super cache and it does not work, this is despite me removing it completely and re-installing.

I can see that it is STILL using the old server asbsolute URL.

This seems to me to be a major failing as any plugin should look at the current directory and relative locations to where wordpress is installed.

It should also completely remove all its database entries and files when it is removed.

    Seems very sloppy to me.

  • I understand your concern. However, you may uninstall it in the old host, migrate it and then install it in the new host.

If it still doesn’t solve, you may edit the wp-config.php file and see if the value of WPCACHEHOME is correct.

JW555, I have encountered the same issue. Have you found a way to remove the link between the two site?

The next release of the plugin should fix this problem automatically.

Grab the development build from https://ocaoimh.ie/y/2o to try it out as it will fix your wp-config.php and advanced-cache.php when you load the settings page.
