• I have been following all the discussion topics about the SQL syntax error:

I removed everything “DEFAULT CHARSET=” and “ENGINE=” suggested from the SQL backup.
I also tried exporting to a comptible SQL version.

But none of them worked, been struggling with that the whole day. Amd curret error returned as below (!!very very long at the bottome of this post!!)

The result though is, the comments seem to have been imported, but others such as post, links and archives are not.

I also had to upgrade WordPress when i tried to go to the admin page of my new site.

  • Hi there,

Enormous stretches of code like that generally tend to get eaten by the moderators.

Could you post it to https://pastebin.be ? That way you also get syntax highlighting which means any programmers here will be able to read the code much easier, and you’ll get help faster.

To help shake the bugs out of the upcoming 2.0.4 and 2.1 releases, we’re holding a Bug Hunt next week

    we're

That’s the word with the problem.

    Got a backup?
    Delete everything you see above.

Still got a database on the old server?
    Go into the wp_options table.
    Scroll through the pages
You will come across a whole heap of entries with RSS
Check the boxes and delete those lines
    Then export the db again.

ONLY do that if you REALLY DO HAVE A BACKUP FIRST.
