gallery – image navigation order

the navigation order of the images in the galleries when viewed on the website is not the same as the order established in the backend

-so when i go to a gallery page i.e. https://superlionwolfcomics.com/wordpress1/comic/gallery/ all images are displayed in the correct order
-then i click on the first image on the top left
which takes me to https://superlionwolfcomics.com/wordpress1/comic/gallery/gallery-10/#main
-then click next at the top right the next image is not the image that is displayed on the original gallery page as being to the right or under or anywhere near the page i clicked on
