Duplicate of images with different dimensions

  • Hello !

    I have a problem that, when I try to upload image via “add media” and make a post, then if I go in my host in cpanel into uploads, there is the same picture uploaded 7 times, in 7 different dimensions (the same picture). So this is to much for host..

    Also I have problem with optimazing my webpage, it has a lot of requests ~190 (I m using w3total cashe) but sometimes it crush my template, or make nothing to work.

  • WordPress creates a maximum of 3 additional images for every one uploaded based on the dimensions that you have configured in Settings -> Media. The other copies must be created via your theme.

    I tried in many themes I got the same problem, it is not possible that all of that templates make the same problems

    Where are you downloading these themes from? By default, WordPress only creates a maximum of 3 additional images.
