problems with posting new post/page

  • This started happening today for me, I can’t seem to get wordpress to make new posts or pages. When I select either option I get 100% CPU usage and explorer just hangs there.

    Does anyone else have this problem, I’m really at a loss, everything else seems to be working fine.

    I have more info, this problem is encountered when using IE. When I logged onto the site using Firefox it managed to get through, even though it took a long time to access the site there were no 100% cpu usage stuff…

    Have you checked with your host for any changes?

    No but there have been intermittent problems with the server. For one it had a virus on it, I think they cleaned it up finally but now this..? I’m not sure how it could be related anyways, especially since Firefox seems to get through the problem w/o any problems.

    I’m having the identical problem. No new posts, no alterations. No comments can even be added to old posts.I’ve also tried getting rid of a couple of spam comments in moderation, but got a freeze.

    Actually this problem still persists, I cannot make posts/pages with IE still. Maybe the WP staff should consider putting a warning in the system that IE cannot be used for updating your blog??
