Drop-down lists stopped working

  • Drop-down menus on my WP install stopped working.

    When i click on links on the menu (Site – Dashboard, Theme, Customize and Howdy Admin – Edit my profile) nothing happens..

    I tried deactivating all plugins by renaming folders via phpMyAdmin, checking the db user privileges, updating wp-config.php with a new db user, nothing helps. So right now I have no possibility for editing my site…

    Any clues out there? PLEASE HELP!

  • Did you try switching to the default Twenty Thirteen theme? And clearing your browser’s cache?

    Hi Media X, thanks for the prompt reply.

    Yes I tried clearing cache. And renaming all theme folders but twenty thirteen to force default theme..

    But now I found something, a bit mysterious…

    I have always been accessing my site via URL frame redirect. Yesterday the drop-down menus stopped working.
    Now I tried accessing it via quick link domain alias – and it worked!

    What is mysterious is that via URL frame redirect I’m allowed to login to my site, but the menu links seem disabled..

    Do yu have any clues why it could happen?

    BTW the same behaviour in Safari and Chrome. In Firefox the dropdown menu respond but opens a totally blank page instead of Dashboard…
