  • Hey dosuntai,

It should retain all your plugins settings. However there can be some plugins that don’t port well. Did you check the final report on step 3 of the installer and see if it reported any errors/warnings?

No errors or warnings were indicated.

That is strange, not sure what the issue could be. There are a few plugins that people have reported as having issues, but the majority of them should work as long as they are storing the settings in the database. If the plugin stores some of its information to other locations like a file then the plugin is not going to be able to update the settings.

Also some plugins will use relative paths vs absolute paths. If this is the case then those settings will not work on a server where the relative paths are different.

It is a troublesome report, hope I won’t have the same issues, as it defeats the purpose of Duplicator plugin completely!

Not sure why this was marked as resolved though.

On the other hand, the original poster mentions none of the plugins worked any more, but I am happy to report I had all my plugin settings working after migrations using Duplicator.

I did not check the relative paths point (not sure how I would do that), and the plugins do work, they just have to have all their settings reset.

It is entirely possible I did something wrong in the transfer, I just don’t know what.

If all the plugins don’t have the correct settings, then something may have been entered at install time that was not correct. If only a single or few plugins don’t retain their settings then I would contact those theme authors and see if they can double check your setting and see if they are correct….

    Hope that helps!
