Google_IOException thrown

  • I updated to 3.6 today and updated a number of plugins.

    I am now unable to login to my site.

    I get this error:
    Google_IOException thrown
    HTTP Error: (0) Failed to connect to 173.194.72.84: Permission denied

    I am guessing it is a Google analytics plugin error.

    How do I now get access to my site to disable the plugin?

  • You can use FTP or Cpanel access to deactivate plugins – find them here:

    wp-content
     plugins
        ...
        ...

    Renaming the folders will deactivate theme.

    Thank you sooooo much. This did the trick.

    It’s the google-analytics-dashboard-for-wp plugin if anyone else finds this problem.
