Makes photo disappear if no text before it

When I’m using firefox, if I have a post that starts with a photo the photo cannot be seen until you scroll down. Then the photo pops up. If you scroll back up the photo disappears again.
However if I put any sort of text before the photo then this does not happen. Any fix for this? It does not happen in IE, just FF.
