homepage vs excerpt

  • Hello,
    I am a total wordpress beginner (just started a few hours ago). I would like to have a different lay-out in the homepage and page after excerpt. homepage: https://hondenuitlaatserviceovl.commediaweb.be/
    and then ‘after reed more’ i would like to have a new lay out. but i seem to get the initial big picture and text aswell. below the thumbnail is fine

    i would just like to see the thumbnail and text on the right. any suggestions?
    I am not familiar with code, i am a novice building a website for the very first time.
