    Worked fine hours ago, no one changed or added anything, it’s a pretty simple site, hosted outside by one.com

    Only help you get on google is a addon error that we don’t have.

    Any suggestions?

    My 2nd site i have with them, don’t get this error. So didn’t think that may be so.

    Hi Chris, I am with one.com and was having exactly the same problem tonight.
    I found your post while I was trying to figure out what had happened.

    I got onto one.com and the support was able to log in to my dashboard but I couldn’t.

    I think I have the solution. I went into my router and changed the dns settings. I had them set for the google dns server. I changed it back to my isp ones and instantly was able to get to the dashboard.

    Try it and see if it works.

    Ha Ha i just put the dns server back to Google and it now allows me to log in.

    Maybe it was just a glitch and it just needed a change on the dns server.

    Anyway try it and see.

    I have the same problem, but it doesn’t help if I change the dns settings. Or maybe I’m just doing something wrong. Can somebody explain to me what exactly I have to do when I change those settings? Or is there maybe an other solution?

    I have had the same error since yesterday afternoon. I have several one.com websites with WordPress installed but so far this error has only effected one website.

    One.com have told me the error is due to attacks on WordPress installations where hackers try to brute force the WordPress login. SysEng have therefore rolled out a small fix on all servers that will block these brute force attempts with this error message.

    I am currently on live chat and been told to wait for them to come back with me with a resolution which I will post on here.

    Okay, so basicly something we can’t really do anything about? Thanks for all the answers people. ??

    Chris.ckb I’ve been told one.com System Admins are working to fix this issue so hopefully it will be resolved for us all soon – it’s a pain not being able to login!

    short solution i got, don’t konw for how many of you it may work, but:

    If your site is on a subdomain, meaning a intro page leading to wp install, then type the url: https://www.’wp-foldername’.’domain’/wp-admin
    For me that gives me access to backend, where normal login don’t work, yet.

    Hope this helps some.

    The problem is back again this morning and changes to DNS don’t work.

    Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

    Hooray, one.com just came back to me and the solution worked for me.

    Add this to your .htaccess file:

    <FilesMatch "^(wp-login|wp-log)\.php$">
    Header set Set-Cookie wordpress_test_cookie=WP+Cookie+check
    </FilesMatch>

    Didn’t do any diffrence for me, sadly.

    Sorry to hear that Chris – have you contacted one.com support?

    the problem persists
