  • There’s something wrong with the rating block/plugin average rating configuration…
Can you provide more information about the settings you are using?

Those all look fine… The site was down when I went back a short while ago.
    Will have another look tomorrow

Yeah, we were down ?? But everything is up and running back now! ??
If you need additional information, please ask ??

The problem is the required class “hreview-aggregate” is missing from page source code….

    So another couple of questions:
    1. Are you using a shortcode in posts for the article-rater – I see the Article settings for Auto-insert are off for everything except “posts displayed on front page” – if so which shortcode

    2. Are you also using another plugin for rich snippets? – there’s several classes that look like coming from another plugin – or your theme perhaps. Could be a conflict.

    3. Minify: Have you tried turning off the minify and any cache plugins?

    1. When I create a rating for reviews, I don’t use a shortcode in posts, but I select the rating at the ‘widget’ at the right of the page.

    2. I use this plugins:
    – All in one event calendar
    – cloudflare
    -contact form 7
    – display widgets
    – disqus comment system
    – enhanced text widget
    – extended categories widget
    – facebook like box
    – facebook likes you
    – fancy spoiler
    – gd star rating
    – global admin bar hide or remove
    – lazy load
    – list category posts
    – live blogging
    – mce table buttons
    – nextgen gallery
    – p3 profiler
    – posttabs
    – put
    – really simple captcha
    – Sidebar login
    – Simple local avatars
    – table of contents plus
    – theme my login
    – use google libraries
    – W3 total cache
    – wordpress popup
    – wordpress seo
    – wp optimize
    – wp original media path
    – wp smushit
    – wp youtube lyte
    – yet another related posts plugin

    3. I deactivated W3 Total Cache and tested again but no result ??

Again many thanks for your help!

    No more ideas?

Yes… Sorry it took so long

The answer lies with the theme.

I see the theme is “score” from ThemeForest. The integrated widgets don’t generate the “hreview-aggregate” class required by Google for rich snippets.

If you look on the theme demo page source code you’ll see the hreview-aggregate class is missing there as well.

As this is a commercial theme – I’d approach the developers to include the class. It’s strange they haven’t as the theme is advertised being intended for GD Star Ratings.
There’s also a few issues with BuddyPress and GD Star ratings

You may be able to write a custom function to pull the aggregate – see this thread for more info and an idea for the code – Display average of a multiple rating in loop The code MAY need modding to work with the theme.
Then enclose the result in the required class.

Also note – the standard GD Star “Blog Rating” and the multi-article “Star Rating” widget also don’t generate the class. That’s not a bug – rich snippet star ratings can only apply to a single article.
