Tips to improve Dashboard speed and Posting speed.

  • Hello,

    Any tips on improving Dashboard and Posting speed?

    I have only found people saying “Reduce Plugins”.
    I have 10 plugins installed, all needed.

    Also i went thru other posts in this forum and found this as a effective solution.

    /** Adding below line of code in wp-config.php */
    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );

    /** Sets up WordPress vars and included files. */
    require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’);

    However, It has no effect for me.

    Any help is appreciated

    https://gtmetrix.com/

    It should give you some useful info. It may also be the hosting you are using, your ISP, and/or the plugins. Since you have not included any specific info, hard for anyone to offer more specific help.

    Thanks for response

    website is pretty quick.

    However my dashboard is very slow.

    I do refer gtmetrix, pingdom.
    Website Score is approx 88.

    Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins and switching to twentytwelve theme? See how it acts then. Then reverse your steps one by one to find out which plugin(s) (or your theme) is causing the slowness.

    I don’t think i can afford to stop using plugins and then start all.

    I am using 11 plugins or so.

    1. W3 Total Cache
    2. SEO Plugin
    3. Better WP Security
    4. Rich Snipper
    5. Wysija
    6. Post Expirator
    7. Social Network Auto Poster
    8. Jetpack
    9. QR Code
    10. Lazy Loader
    11. YARPP

    Any usual suspects?

    Several of those could be causing slow loading – but the only way to know is to start experimenting with deactivating/activating/testing.
