How to add full width slider to twenty eleven theme?

Hello all, so basic issue is, I am trying to make the slider in my wordpress site span the full width of the page( as in as much as the browser can fit ), but i dont really want to change the width of my written content and sidebar area. I am using the easingsliderlite plugin for the current slider I have. Basically i just want the slider to span out farther and cover up part of the generic black background i have. I have no css knowledge whatsover, so if someone could pleaaaase give me an easy or a step by step solution on how to do this, it would be very appreciated.
