Do you have multiple WP networks in your install? If so, what did you use to create them?

    – I install WordPress
    – I enable WordPress MU
    – I install Buddypress and enable on main WordPress MU

    – I install Networks for WordPress
    – I install BP Multi Network
    – I create new network

    – I activate Buddypress on new network
    – I can use Buddypress on new network separately from main WordPress MU except user profile url that still share between main WordPress MU and new network

I haven’t use WP Multi Network or Networks+ so I don’t know that 2 plugins will render user profile link same Networks for WordPress or not

You may want to post a thread at the BP support forums for that. It sounds like you have done everything else correctly.

    Hi Ron,
It looks as if you are the right person to advise us in this moment.
I need to understand the riscs and advantages using “BP Multi Network”.
Our NGO (in Botucatu, Brazil, see below) has 3 WPMultise installations on 3 different domains.
With time passing, our users want to participate in more then 1 Multi Site and expect from them to login again is not intresting.
On the other hand we are still small and can still transfere all sites and sub-sites to only 1 domain.

DESCRIPTION: You can see at https://elo.org.br – INSTITUTO = our courses / GRUPO = our NGO members / and REDE = a Network for people practicing Associative Economics in different regions in Brazil. All sites are our own, we don’t act as a blog farm.

    >OUR QUESTION: which is the best option to let more doors open for the future BUT ALSO NOT GETTING TO COMPLICATED? I am not realy a developer, so I also think I must keep things simple.

I also need to include (PayPal) Subscription Payments for 6 DIFFEREENT LEVELS across the 3 Networks. “s2Member” seems will do, but I should first decide if I will work with 1 or 3 domains!

Can you give me some advise?
    Thanks in advance
    Marco

I think BP Multi Network plugin work correctly ^^

But I just wonder that user profile can share on other network, right?

I mean if user A register on Network 1 then later user A go to login on Network 2 and post activity update so user A profile can reach via 2 network, Do I understand correct?

On my sites I can’t see member that register on another network in member list page
I can see only member that register via current network. this is done by BP Multi Network plugin.

But if I directly go to url

    https://site1.example.com/members/david/
    https://site2.example.com/members/david/

user profile page exist on every network
it just don’t show on member list page

    so this is normal, right?

another thing that BP Multi Network create new bp_ database table for each new wp network to store activity, groups and etc separately but use same global user and user_meta table then user base share across network if user go to login another network

BTW, Thank you for wonderful plugin.

@marco – I work full time and don’t take consultation on development/implementation project.

The profiles should be unique to the particular network. You’ll have to ask at the BP forums about the profile URL.
