wordpress comment box problem

When I activate the wordpress option, it creates a comment form for wordpress, but it also creates another instance of a comment form underneath my google plus and facebook comment form. I tried blanking out the form on my editor via single.php, but then it completely breaks my page. I tried turning wordpress comments of for my theme but it did the same thing. I tried deleting the get comments portion on the single.php, but of course it gets rid of the plugin completely. Im using gantry if that helps anyone determine what my problem might be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
