Installing WordPress on Network Solutions server

I have just finished developing my wordpress site on my local host and I am now taking it live on my server which is hosted by Network Solutions. I have imported through ftp the directory folder and the database; however I am not able to access the database. I have changed the user name and password on the local host, but still can not access it.

Any ideas as to how to fix this?
