Fresh WP install and fresh Plain WP install but no links are showing

    I installed a fresh WP 3.6 and I uploaded a fresh up to date Plain WP. I have not changed anything. The links in the menu do not show up on Plain WP but do in other themes. What could my problem be? No plugins either.
