Sales Tax on Shipping not working

  • Hi,

    I am trying to have Sales tax calculated on the shipping charges, but it doesn’t seem to work.

    In Sales Tax I have set

    Shipping Tax Class: Standard and tried
    Shipping Tax Class: Shipping tax class based on cart items

    But the shipping still doesn’t have tax applied to it

    Can anyone help?

  • This could due to your sales tax rate setup in WooCommerce. For each tax rate the Shipping check box needs to be checked in order to calculate tax on shipping. Or you could try zip level sales tax rate table from https://www.woosalestax.com. Upload the sales tax rates for your state and check the Shipping box for each row. Click Save, that’s all.
