WordPress 3.6 not showing up in update core

  • Hey all I’ve got a puzzling problem here. I’ve wanted to upgrade to WordPress 3.6 for some time, but it still has yet to show up in my update core. When I visit that location of my wordpress site it tells me that 3.5.2 is the latest version of wordpress no matter how many times I click “check again”.

    Is there a way that I can upgrade without going through this method? Or is there a way that we can fix the update core so that my site recognizes the upgrade?

    check in your theme’s functions.php if you have a function that prevents WP from displaying the newest version.
