    Hi there,

I hope someone can help – I get the following message whenever I try to login from anywhere. I think that the code for the Twitter widget is messed up somehow – I did an update recently with the JackPack thing, but now can’t get in to do anything at all. Please help!

  • Yep, you’re right.

You’ll need to use either an FTP account, or your hosts cPanel to gain access to your file directories. Once there, navigate to the ‘wp-content/plugins’ folder.

Now, look for the twitter folder… and either rename it to something random (twitter-broken)… or delete it altogether.

This will allow you access back into your site.

Thank you for your reply! I am really not very savvy when it comes to this kind of thing so please be patient ??

My website is hosted through GoDaddy….is this the place who would have the CPanel you are speaking of?

    Many thanks!

    Yes.

It’s where you would login to administer (manage) your website.

There should be a place to click for “File Directories”, or something similar.

If you do not see it, call GoDaddy. They should certainly be able to help you find out how to access your files. Then, just follow the rest of my instructions above.

Absolutely worked! Thank you so much! I never would have figured that one out on my own without messing everything else up!

    Cheers!!

    Lol – You bet ??

Super glad you are back “up and running”!
