Using existing custom user profile fields

  • I have set up custom user profile fields using the code provided by Justin Tadlock in my functions.php file.

    Can I use these fields with User Meta? If so, how?

    I tried creating an Extra Field in User Meta and setting the Meta Key as the User ID of the custom field I set up per above.

    I get a “Fields not found.” message – even for username and email so perhaps I haven’t set something up properly?
