• hello,

    This is frustrating.

    I have been advused to:

“Go into your WordPress Admin panel and go to OPTIONS and then WRITING.

Down near the bottom of the page, your will see:-

When you publish a new post, WordPress automatically notifies the following…”

I searched for Administrative panels and found that it needed my WordPress URL. Don’t remember having one and cannot even find my way into my account settings. It;s probably there, if there is one. I did find this:
    https://your-wordpress-url/wp-admin/

It also said: “Administration panels (located at https://your-wordpress-url/wp-admin/) are where you control the behind-the-scenes operations of your site.”

Sorry, I feel so stupid, but I’m totally lost, at the moment.

Could some patient soul, please turn on the light?

    Greycap.

  • Do the following…

    https://your-wordpress-url/wp-login.php

This will bring up the Login page, enter your Administrator account (admin, if you didn’t manually change it) and properly login.

You will now be faced with the “Dashboard” that is the beginning of the Administrative section. The URL should probably be https://your-wordpress-url/wp-admin.

From here, look at the Panel of options which include “Dashboard Write Manage Links…”, you will want to click on the Options tag here.

This will now show a sub-panel right below the main panel that includes “General Writing Reading Discussion…”, so click Writing and then make the changes you’ve been advised to make.

    Regards
