• The text:

“The qTranslate Editor has disabled itself because it hasn’t been tested with your WordPress version yet. This is done to prevent WordPress from malfunctioning. You can reenable it by clicking here (may cause data loss! Use at own risk!). To remove this message permanently, please update qTranslate to the corresponding version.”

appears twice above a post/page and every time you click “clicking here” the titels and tabs in different languages appear. The text above the post doesn’t leave.

Also the content of all the languages appear in the content boxes. So if you click Dutch, the content of the other languages is displayed as well in the content box.

That’s in the backend. In the frontend everything seems fine.

  • WordPress 3.6 just came out a couple days ago.. qTranslate plugin developers need time to update the plugin to accommodate the WP 3.6 changes.. I’m sure they are working on it. I reverted back to 3.5.2 until they come out with an update. I’m sure they are aware. Fortunately I backed my site up prior to attempting the 3.6 upgrade.

Not to sound harsh but Wp 3.6 alpha has been released few months ago so a plugin(s) author has all the time available for testing his plugin(s) to make it compatible with the new release and should not expect the official release to begin testing it.
As every WP release adds security and code optimization, revert back to an old release it’s not a good idea.

larso to make plugin work only change the version number in plugins/qtranslate/qtranslate.php to 3.6

    Hello Jump for Joy,

You have to use an ftp client and go to your WordPress install. Go to the folder wpcontent – plugins – qtranslate and find the file qtranslate.php. Change the line mentioned above.

I’m not sure if it works and is necessary in the latest WordPress version (3.7.1.)

    Regards,
    Lars

Thank you for your answer. Come to think of it, this problem didn’t occur untill after I updated to 3.7.1 a couple of days ago.. Im not sure if I should wait a few days or just try the option you gave me.

I waited a few days and everything is working again as it should. But I have another question. Ai would like my flags for selecting a language to be bigger. Also I would like to place them next to each other in stead of underneath each other. Does anyone know how to do this?
