Add Media Button not working anymore

Thanks for using my plugin and I apologize for the trouble you’re having. It sounds like a javascript issue, however there’s nothing in my plugin that should cause this.

To try to narrow down the issue, could you try deactivating any other plugins and see if the issue is resolved? If the issue still remains, can you try switching to a different theme like TwentyTwelve?

Once we know where the error is originating from perhaps we can start narrowing down the reason as to why.

Hi John, thanks for your reply. I was deactivating the arconix FAQ and the problem disappeared. I am very sure its the problem of the FAQ running on my Function Theme ( Woo Themes ). I didnt changed to a different theme right now. Do you have any advice?

I can appreciate your position, but I’ve personally tested my plugin with the following themes and have not experienced your issue: TwentyTwelve theme from the WordPress Team, any theme from StudioPress (one of the biggest theme makers next to WooThemes), and the following WooThemes themes: Biznizz, Canvas, CoffeeBreak, Inspire, Kaboodle and Simplicity.

That’s why I believe it’s possibly a conflict with another plugin, or something specific to the Function Theme. That’s why I asked you to disable all your other plugins and to change themes to help narrow down the problem.

You asked for my advice. Well, my advice to you is to help me help you troubleshoot this issue. If you’re unwilling to perform the steps I requested that’s fine, but it means I won’t be able to help you further.

I’m having the same problem. I disabled all plugins except for this one, and it still didn’t work. But, when I changed to the Twenty Twelve theme it worked. I am using Woo Themes; Canvas.

Hmm… that’s very odd because I’ve tested my plugin with Canvas before.

Who is your web host, and what browser are you using?

The issue was occurring in Chrome and Firefox. My host is Lunarpages.

In Chrome can you open the console and then click the Add Media button and tell me what pops into the console?

Nothing pops into the console when I click the add media button. But, when I the Insert into Post button this shows up:
Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded

Is that issue only with adding media to an FAQ or does it also happen with posts and pages?

“Maximum call stack size exceeded” is generally the result of a recursive function (a function that references itself and ends in an infinite loop).

It would appear something in the WooFramework (it’s the only constant between all WooThemes’ themes) is causing a function in a script my plugin is using to generate the metabox to act recursively.

Right now I don’t have a solution, but I have a ticket opened with the developers of the metabox script to see if there’s some kind of solution available.

I too am having the same problem. After installing the plugin insert media no longer works. I disabled all other plugins and this is the only one that creates the issue.
To insert media I must deactivate Acronix FAQ plugin and then activate again once I am done.
I am working with both current versions of WordPress and the theme Enfold.
