Featured Images – Blog Page!

Hi guys,

I’m new to developing & designing but am getting there!

Anyway, I am using a child theme based on TwentyTwelve – and am trying to find a way to have a featured image blog page before seeing each blog in full; that pretty much looks like this one.

I know there are different post “formats” but none of them give me an option that displays the posts this way.
