    Hi I can’t get the #colspan# tool to work.

    I have a 3 column x 8 row table.

    In the top left corner cell (A1) I put in a title. In A2 & A3 I put in #colspan#

    However when I look at the webpage the title stays above the A1 column rather than A1; A2 & A3 cells being merged with the title in the middle of this large cell.

    I am using XP SP3 with IE8

    Thank you
    hkp

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    I’m not really sure if I understand. Could you please post a link to the page with the table, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Thank you very much indeed for the quick reply

    Sorry but I realise that I didn’t explain myself properly.

    I said “A1; A2 & A3” but I meant A1; B1 & C1 ie the top three cells of the table which comprise the table heading.

    Here is the link

    I would like the word “TRAINING PACKAGES” to be in the middle of the blue rather than to the far left.

    Very best regards,
    hkp
    P.S. Thank you for a wonderful plugin to help my site look very cool!

    Hi,

    thanks for the link!

    From what I can see, the colspan works just fine. You’ll now just need to center the text in the cell (that’s not done automatically, as that has nothing really to do with colspanning). To do that, just add this to the “Custom CSS” textarea on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress:

    .tablepress-id-1 thead th {
      text-align: center;
    }

    Regards,
    Tobias

    P.S.: Good to hear that you like TablePress! If you want, you can rate it here in the plugin directory. Thanks!

    Thank you so very much indeed Tobias, you are a gold star!

    I have now been able to center both of the Table headings.

    I’ve rated your plugin with 5 gold stars on an excellent tool that helps script challenged people like me make their website look totally Web 2.0!
