Default home button not appearing, front page jacked up

My site is using Genesis and the Enterprise Child Theme, v 1.1. I started applying the new design to this site, but I have run into a number of key issues:
> The default home page/front page is not appearing correctly, in that no “Home” button appears and neither does the header. Spacing is also off. Blog posts are appearing on the front page, however.
> When you navigate to the other tabs (About, etc.)the pages are working fine.

Please help
