Most likely the BPS plugin was Network Activated on this site and/or BulletProof Mode was activated in this virtual subsite. See the link below for BPS Network/Multisite setup.

How can I get my site back to it old look?

FTP to your website and delete the .htaccess file in your website root folder. If the BPS plugin is Network Activated then Network Deactivate it. Then activate the BPS plugin on the Primary site ONLY. Do not activate the BPS plugin on any subsites.

What if I have deleted the plugin?

Then just delete the .htaccess file in the website root folder and the .htaccess file in the wp-admin folder.

If you are using WordPress permalinks then you will need to go to the Settings >>> Permalinks page and resave your permalinks.

    Are these 2 different websites?

I thought this was all one Network/Multisite website and /mexico was a virtual subsite of the main site.

So are you saying that you still have BPS installed?

Please explain in full specific details what is going on. Thanks.

Actually I am taking a guess here based on the info you have provided so what I think needs to happen is that you are saying these are 2 completely separate websites and the /mexico website is missing its standard WordPress .htaccess file.

So you either need to go to the Settings >>> Permalinks page and generate a new WordPress .htaccess file IF YOU ARE USING a Custom Permalink structure. If you are not using a custom permalink structure then you should be, but what you can do instead is add a RewriteEngine Off .htaccess file in the /mexico folder. This means that the /mexico website does not have any security. You would need to install BPS and set it up correctly for a Network/Multisite WordPress site in order to protect it with security.

To create a RewriteEngine Off .htaccess file see this Forum link below.
