Post_Author uses username not display name

Same hire. I want to use Advanced Post List on magazine site but got usernames of the contributors instead of name.

I presume that this will be solved in 0.4 version, but as we have release date, is there any way to fix this before the new version will come
(if you let me know what part of code I should change in a plug in to resolve this, I will be really thankfull)

The funny thing that in “Author Filter” under the “Post Status” shows names correctly. (full name and surname instead of username)

Is that something wrong with my artisteeer theme or it is the problem of the plugin.

I believe Kalin has already fixed/added this. The branch can be found in author_callback on GitHub. I’m not sure on the exact details, so you may want to check out the commits to see the changes.

I went to the page, read everything, so I presume that I just need to copy this APLCallback.php in plugin directory and this should fix that?

No, there’s 4 different files. I would just download the branch and use the APL plugin folder to replace the old folder.

I’ve tried that, screwed something ( it redirected my soundbytes page to guithub ) so I replaced those new files with my old backup files, at least I got my page back. ??

As you can see I use it on a whole site except on a first page as we use custom text for every post from the list on that page and therefore automation is not the option.

Just replace the APL folders. GitHub’s base folder includes some things for just GitHub, but the APL folder is for WP.

Please note that any releases before 0.4 will overwrite the files, as well as the modded files may not contain some important updates.

O.k but I presume that 0.4 will have this implemented, so when it comes, there will be no problem if I update then?

I’m just saying any updates before 0.4 won’t have the feature. Technically, it’s at 0.3.b7, so it will still upgrade smoothly and in order.
