Backup Plugin: are scheduled backups direct to server possible?

  • I hope someone who knows the Backup plugin well can parse this problem. I see there are settings for scheduled backups and manual backup.

    I would like a scheduled backup but would prefer it going direct to my server & not receiving it via email. Is the only option for scheduled backup either via e mail or not at all? In that case, I presume that what I need to do is periodically do a manual backup?

    Has anyone also faced a conflict bet. other plugins that work by generating e mails daily? I have a subscriber notification plugin which is now sending duplicate e mails since I’ve started using scheduled Backup. I was also receiving multiple e mails of the backup file. Perhaps there’s a conflict bet. the 2 that causes the duplication?
