No posts on homepage

    We just downloaded and installed the Leaf theme from wordpress. We put up a few test posts with different categories and nothing except the slider and sidebars shows up on the page.

    The articles appear under recent posts, but nothing appears on the page itself. Please help!!!

    Please note, I even made a category called featured and added it to one post.

  • You’ll see posts in home page under the slider from 6th post onwards.
    Leaf is not ideal for a new site, unless you fill it with articles in a short time.
    Slider show 5 last posts and they are “not_in”, i.e. they are not repeated below.

    Thank you so much. i would appreciate the answer to one more question. My daughter wants to show the WHOLE post on the first page, not just an excerpt. Do you know what setting or custom code I need to do that.

    BTW, I hope the developer has bought you an ice cream or something. YOu answer so quickly and are soooo helpful, I am REALLY grateful as should he be.

    P.S.: the theme is free and nice, so I’m in debt with the developer, not viceversa ??

    Oh no! Making a child theme seems pretty complicated. I will try to figure out how. I see this page but dont’ know what exact content to put at the header.

    EDIT: However, it’s possible that that solution (the one for the full content) requires further customization, because I don’t know how it works with thumbnails (they could be duplicated), I haven’t tested it.
