• Hello,

after I’ve successfully installed the latest version oft WordPress on a subdirectory of my server I can access the frontpage and everything seems to work like it should but when I try to login to the backend I get an Internal Server Error like you can see on this picture:

    https://img2.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/18026/18026208a62dfb081d8080f81742197a9bf2e513.png

I have to say that the page /wp-login.php is also working and I can type in my username and password but after clicking on “log in” the errorpage appears.

It is just a clean install of WordPress. There are no plugins or themes installed.

Does somebody have an idea whats causing this error?

    Thanks

  • Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your hosts should be able to help you in accessing your site’s error logs.

    Hmm, any other suggestions?

No. What were you expecting? An error 500 code is too generic to be of any use. You need to check your site’s error log for the specific error message.
