• 2 issues: I can’t update a recipe once it’s entered.

I don’t think the program is handling ‘marinades’ properly – or I don’t know how to enter them correctly. Very sketchy help / instructions.

I recently entered a recipe and your plugin lists calories at 908 per person. My calculations (I’ve been doing this awhile) have it at 775 even if one eats the marinade (which one doesn’t) If the marinade is handled correctly the calories should be 685 per serving – a far cry from 908.

Any help or insight would be appreciated. I like your plugin and approach and would like to be able to use it.

    Hi Kate,

Can you please post here the recipe in question.
It will help us determine where the difference comes from.

Also I will be more than happy to get on the phone with you and go over the plugin. Please e-mail me with times which are good for you at [email protected]

    Thanks
    Ianko

    Sure – here it is:
    10oz (300gr) chicken breasts, boneless, skinless 330kcal
Marinade: I assumed 25% of the marinade was consumed – which I think is too high
    1/4 cup lemon juice 12kcal
    2 tbs olive oil 238kcal
    Salad:
lettuce – enough for 2 main course salads 44kcal
    5oz (150gr) green beans 46kcal
    1/2 cup (3oz, 90gr) cherry tomatoes or 1 regular tomato 16kcal
1/2 red, yellow or green bell pepper, 3oz (90gr) 25kcal
    1/2 small avocado 125kcal
    3oz (90gr) mushrooms 28kcal
    1/4 cup walnuts 185kcal
2 tbs freshly snipped chives 5kcal too high
2 tbs freshly snipped basil – lemon basil would be wonderful if you have any 5kcal too high
    Vinaigrette:
    1 1/2 tbs honey 96kcal
    1 1/2 tbs whole grain mustard 24kcal
    1 1/2 tbs lemon juice 5kcal
3 tbs good olive oil 358kcal

total 1354 or 677 per serving (2 servings)

Here is the link from my blog:
    https://thymeforcookingblog.com/2013/07/lemon-chicken-salad-2/

The calories are listed as 1816 or 908 per serving

I tried to change the ‘2 chicken breasts’ to ’10oz (300gr) chicken breasts’ but the plugin, while showing the change in my edit program, does not show it in the published post.
